thank you to everyone who came to our summer fair - our most successful ever!
The HSCA Summer Fair is the biggest event of our school year. We take over the playground and playing field with lots of family fun. There are lots of stalls and games, with plenty to see and do. We have inflatables to help the children let off some steam. Our performance arena features performances from local groups and clubs from within the school. We’ll have the annual tug-of-war too!
The event is a major fundraising source - with funds going to important projects for both Hook Junior and Infant schools. This year, with your support, we have funded iPads, playground equipment, and the expansion and improvement of the Junior playground.
In 2025 we had our huge raffle with a chance to win a Eurocamp holiday! There was our second hand uniform sale, fantastic food and drink, and our community corner with the foodbank and book swap.
PERFORMANCE ARENA
Our event arena is the focal point of the event, with performances from children and local groups. We are privileged to have so many talented children at the schools. Our Performance Showcase for 2025 had a lineup including Hook Junior School Choir, Karen Blackburn Dance Academy, Stagecoach, and YEM. A big thank you to the teachers and group leaders for their hard work curating such fantastic performances.

INFLATABLES
Our inflatable zone was sponsored this year by Diverse Fitness.
They offer a state of the art gym with some of the latest equipment and including free weights area and functional training zone.
There is a large group exercise timetable offering classes such as Bootcamp, Circuits, Pump, Spin, HIIT, Boxing Fit, Pilates and Yoga.

In 2025 at the Summer Fair we introduced a Quiet Tent. This was a quiet place for those children who might otherwise become overwhelmed by all of the activity, and provided a rest area along with various toys and equipment kindly donated by Waitrose. The tent was be able to accommodate a few children at a time, and Mrs Walters and Miss Carne (SENDCos for the schools) were on hand to keep the tent running smoothly!
We hope it meant some families who would otherwise avoid the event, were able to enjoy it too.
