THE BIGGEST CHRISTMAS EVENT IN HOOK!
The Christmas Fair is a cornerstone event for the HSCA and the community alike. From 11:00 - 15:00 it is free to enter for everyone!
It kicks off the festive season, and is a fantastic opportunity for the school community to get together, have fun, and raise money for the schools.

What’s on
Tinseltown Christmas Market
Kick off your present-buying in our Christmas Market, packed full of stalls from local small businesses selling crafts, bakes, sweet treats, and fabulous christmas gift ideas.
Stallholders already signed up include:
Want to be there? Sign up to exhibit at our Christmas fair - with pitches from £25!

Volunteer
The Christmas Fair is important to the children - and we can’t pull it off without an army of volunteers. Teachers, Support Staff, Parents, Grandparents and Students all rally round to pull off the festive spectacular!
We need 150 volunteers, for event setup, to run a stall or game, help santa, or serve in the kitchen. If you can help for just 1 hour, please sign up using the link below.
You can volunteer with your child - they love collecting the tokens or resetting a game! Year 5s and older can run a game by themselves.
All adult volunteers are entered into a draw to win a bottle of prosecco, and all child volunteers are entered into a draw to win Fred the Elf.
If you’d like to get involved with planning the Fair, come along to our AGM & Social on 17th September, at 18:30, Hook Infant School hall.

Performance ‘Snow’case
We are privileged to have so many talented children at the schools. Our Performance Showcase will have a lineup including Karen Blackburn Dance Academy, Stagecoach, YEM Choir and more. A big thank you to the teachers and group leaders for their hard work curating such fantastic performances.

Santa’s Grotto
We’re very lucky to have Father Christmas himself flying in for the Christmas Fair.
Book a trip to our magical North Pole Grotto to meet our very special Santa!
Your ticket gives you access to the Grotto waiting room which is filled with activity sheets and blank letters to Santa to complete, which children can enjoy (if you wish) whilst watching a Christmas movie. Then each family is called to the Grotto for their visit with Santa. Each child receives a special gift from Santa.
One ticket required for each child visiting the Grotto. At checkout you will be asked to provide your child’s name and age. This helps the elves make sure Santa has the right gifts on his sleigh! Our gifts are suitable for boys and girls.
For families visiting, please book multiple slots (one for each child) at the same slot time, and you’ll all see Father Christmas together.
This year, slots are only available online in advance. They will go on sale at 18:00 on Wednesday 1st October.
RAFFLE
⭐️
RAFFLE ⭐️

Following the success of this year’s Summer Raffle, tickets will again be distributed to school families, starting in late September. Each child in Hook Junior and Hook Infant school will be given an envelope containing 10 tickets (2 books). Please help us raise as much money as possible, by selling these tickets to friends, family, neighbours, or by purchasing some yourself!
We’ll have a great range of raffle prizes - see our Raffle page for the list!
Raffle tickets must be returned to the schools by 16:00 on Thursday 27th November to make it into the draw. You can also buy tickets online here (once they go on sale at the end of September), and you can ask the school offices for any more ticket books if you’d like to sell or purchase more.
The class who sells the most tickets from each school will win a special prize for every child!
Children’s Raffle
Just 50p a ticket (or one token), winners will be able to select from a table of games, toys and other gifts.
Tickets for this are only available at the fair. Anyone purchasing a ticket will need to be present at the draw at 14:30 to select their prize, otherwise a prize will be selected for them from those remaining on the table.

Games & Crafts
All the fun of the fair is in our Games rooms. Packed with classic games this is the perfect place for you to try your luck to win a prize.
Make sure you buy your tokens as you enter the fair!
Can you help us by volunteering to run one of these games? Signup to volunteer now!

Food & Drink
Our kitchen elves will be rustling up a selection of festive food and drink including mulled wine, spiced coffee, hot chocolate, mince pies and much more!
We will publish the menu here nearer the time.

Second Hand Uniform
Our selection of pre-loved uniform will be available for purchase at the Fair. If you need to pick up some bits, this is the perfect opportunity where you can try items on and see the quality of our items.

No parents allowed in Elfridges! This is the chance for your little ones to carefully select a present just for you!
Our elves have carefully curated a selection of gifts. Send your child into Elfridges with £2.50 per present wish to buy for a loved one.
The elves will help the little shoppers choose something just right.
Gifts will come sealed in a paper bag, which your little ones can give to you on Christmas day!

Tombolas
Our tombolas are always very popular, and often sell out earlier in the fair - don’t miss them!
Junior Tombola
On Friday 28th November, there will be a non-uniform day. Students are asked to bring in a bottle for donation to the tombola. This can be a bottle of anything, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. If it comes in a bottle - then its in! Please male sure all bottles are in-date where applicable.
Infants Tombola
The same for the infants, it’s non-uniform time on Friday 28th November. Students are asked to bring in something chocolatey for the tombola. This might be a selection box, a box of Celebrations or Heroes, a bar of chocolate, or maybe a chocolate Santa or Reindeer! Again, please make sure all chocolate is in-date, and no chocolates with nuts, as both schools are nut-free environments!
